Dr. Wong, Ph.D., came in from California to lend his insight — his Ph.D. dissertation in policy analysis explored the role of rapid acquisition in Operation Iraqi Freedom. "Rapid acquisition of new military capabilities was a military necessity during recent operations and is one of the most promising routes to realizing the new tech- nologies needed to enable the ird Offset," Wong said. "I have researched it for the past five years, benefitted personally from it as a Marine infantryman during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and I am excited about its potential for giving our troops an additional edge over the enemy." Mike Little, AUSN's Legislative Director, recently completed his review of the NDAA, and said that "deciding which legislation to support is always a chal- lenging subject, but at the end of the day, what matters is what's best for our Sailors. It's great to have discus- sions like this about how to bring better technology to make their jobs more efficient."
