40 Navy | Fall/Winter 2017 Annual Business Meeting East to West, Coast to Coast! A USN's Annual Business Meeting embraced technology by conducting operations in both San Diego, Ca. and the new head- quarters in Alexandria, Va. In order to be more frugally minded, the staff decided to offer the option of either coast to make it easier for those who wished to attend. During the meeting, AUSN National President LCDR (Ret.) David Bradley, Vice President ISCS (Ret.) Jon Altmann, and National Treasurer CAPT (Ret.) Doug McDonald were unani- mously re-elected for a second term. Vice President Altmann was presented with the Kathleen Quaglino National President's Award in recognition and appreciation for his many years of volunteer service to our Sailors and the Associa- tion. AUSN Photographer LT (Ret.) Danny Camp, who has faithfully documented many AUSN events, was presented the Outstanding Service Award by our Chairman, VADM (Ret.) Lou Crenshaw. AUSN Chaplain CDR (Ret.) St. Elmo Nauman, Jr. was present to bless the participants. There were detailed briefings by the staff, including the legislative update, financials, communications, and member- ship. Various topics were addressed and solutions discussed for the year ahead. Please mark your calendar for the next AUSN Annual Business Meeting which will be held in October 2018. We would love to share the exciting things that we have been doing throughout the year and also to gain feedback from you. We can't do it alone — we need your input to continue our successes in the year ahead!
